The “Broadcast Mobile Convergence Forum” (bmcoforum) is an international non-profit organisation designed to shape open markets for media delivery.

bmcoforum addresses the use of personal mobile devices in delivering relevant audiovisual content and services wherever, whenever by the best delivery channel.

For that reason bmcoforum brings together players from all parts of the media delivery value chain.

	Mobile Broadcast News India: No mobile TV auction plans (2010 03 09) India's government doesn't propose to auction radio bandwidth for mobile television. As of now there is no policy for the provisioning of mobile TV services. Therefore, the question of auction of spectrum does not arise. More Korea: Dual DMB phone by TU-Media (2010 03 01) To attract new customers by resolving content shortages, the S-DMB operator TU Media introduced a dual DMB phone, which allows users to view 36 S-DMB channels and additionally 21 T-DMB channels. More Hong Kong: Mobile TV auction in May 2010 (2010 02 27) The Office of the Telecommuni- cations Authority (OFTA) published an Information Memorandum inviting applications to bid for radio spectrum in the 678 - 686 MHz band in an auction to be conducted in May 2010 for the provision of broadcast-type mobile television (mobile TV) services in Hong Kong. More Taiwan: Only one mobile TV license in 2010 (2010 02 27) Taiwanese regulator, the National Communications Commission (NCC) has revised its mobile TV licensing plans, announcing that, contrary to its previous announcement, only one concession will be awarded in 2010. More USA: 2% of all TV watching on handhelds (2010 02 26) According to a Horowitz study, of all the hours Internet users say they spend watching TV programmes, about 4% of TV time is on a platform other than a TV set — 2% on a PC/laptop and 2% on a handheld — with 96% still consumed via the traditional TV platform. More Global Mobile Satellite TV Market to Reach $11 Billion by 2015 (2010 02 22) The report titled "Mobile Satellite Television: A Global Strategic Business Report" announced by Global Industry Analysts, Inc., provides a review of market trends, product introductions/innovations, and recent industry activity. More USA: Enhanced FLO air interface (2010 02 16) Qualcomm's new FLO-EV air interface will offer more channel capacity, up to 50% less network costs and a 3-5dB increased performance. It is positioned as a means of delivering all multimedia content, including TV and datacasting, and is designed primarily for international markets. More France; MNOs opposed to invest in DVB-H (2010 02 12) At a meeting organized by the regulator to save Personal Mobile TV the four operators: Orange, SFR, Bouygues and the newcomer Free have opposed to invest in DVB-H. CSA will still sign the authorizations to broadcast in March. More USA: ATSC-M/H showcase usage measurement (2010 02 04) The Open Mobile Video Coalition (OMVC) is teaming with Harris Interactive, a global market research firm, and Rentrak, a specialist in multi-screen media measurement, to study consumer usage habits during OMVC's Mobile DTV Consumer Showcase in Washington. More Peru: ISDB available as from March (2010 02 01) ISDB launching in Peru will take place on March 30th through the free-to-air national channel TV Peru (Channel 7). At the beginning the signal will be available in Lima and Callao. One Seg cell phones will be sold at USD300 to USD600.
